Endometriosis is a disease in which cells normally seen lining the uterus (womb) grow outside the uterus. It can cause inflammation, scar tissue, and pain, especially during menstrual periods. Endometriosis may also cause reproductive health issues like infertility. Who Can Have Endometriosis? Anyone with an active uterus can be affected by endometriosis. About 10% of women, mostly in their 30s and 40s, are affected by endometriosis.

This year, Eating Disorders Awareness Week takes place from February 26 to March 3. This week raises awareness and promotes understanding about eating disorders. It is a good time to offer help and provide resources for support. Eating disorders are mental health problems that cause dangerous behaviors involving weight and food. These eating behaviors can cause serious health problems and sometimes result in death. Eating disorders can happen to anyone, but are much more common in women. Common eating disorders include anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorder.

January is Cervical Health Awareness Month. Prevention and screening are the most important ways to fight cervical cancer. During the pandemic, many people did not get tested for cervical cancer or receive the HPV vaccine (shot) that helps prevent this cancer.
